Another family is grieving, a two-year-old girl has died in a backyard swimming pool, the seventh drowning in NSW since Christmas Eve.

It happened at Dunoon, north of Lismore, in the state's far north.

Family members tried desperately to revive the little girl, but she couldn't be saved.
