On 21 December 2023, four Indian Army soldiers were martyred, and another two injured, in a terrorist ambush in Jammu & Kashmir's Poonch district. The incident happened when two army vehicles en route Rajouri sector were attacked by terrorists hiding near the Dhera Ki Gali area in Poonch. A massive cordon and search operation has been launched to hunt the terrorists in forest areas of Poonch.
