On Thursday afternoon David Kozak, 24, carried out the deadliest mass shooting in the Czech Republic’s history — and the worst in Europe since the 2015 Bataclan massacre in Paris — before taking his own life with a shotgun after he dropped his assault rifle as armed police closed in.
