Usama Khatab and Mr. Bilal Khalid Dar, Founding members of FAST Gaming Club share their journey to success as the top student societies at FAST NUCES Islamabad.
FAST Gaming Club was established in the fall of 2021 under the leadership of Usama and with the mentorship of Mr. Bilal. In just their second month, FGC achieved a significant milestone by hosting the largest attended event at FAST, catapulting them into the spotlight.
Following a triumphant NaSCon 2022, where they hosted the most participated tournaments, FGC firmly established its presence on the esports map in Pakistan.
This solid foundation paved the way for FAST Gaming Club to host the esports tournaments of NaSCon 2023, attracting international Tekken players such as Arslan Ash and Atif Butt. Such unprecedented success within a university in Pakistan was nothing short of remarkable.
About Usama:
Usama was the founding president of FAST Gaming Club. Although he has since graduated, during his time at FAST, he successfully nurtured one of the university's most thriving societies. Prior to this, he founded his own esports organization, Thugz Esports, boasting a roster of at least 40 semi-professional players.
About Mr. Bilal Khalid Dar:
Mr. Bilal Khalid Dar is a lecturer at FAST NUCES Islamabad, specializing in Computer Software Engineering, particularly in Human-Computer Interaction and Game Development. Originally from Rawalpindi, he completed his BS and MS degrees at COMSATS Islamabad and is currently pursuing his PhD at FAST.
