President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the funeral prayer of Hacer Muhterem Coşan, wife of the late theologian Mahmud Esad Coşan.
A funeral ceremony was held for Hacer Muhterem Coşan, who passed away yesterday at the age of 82, at Eyüpsultan Mosque following the afternoon prayer.
President Erdoğan, who attended the ceremony, expressed his condolences to Coşan's son Muharrem Nureddin Coşan and his relatives who accepted condolences in the courtyard of the mosque.
In addition to Erdoğan, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, Fatih Erbakan, Chairman of the Re-Refah Party, Süleyman Soylu, AK Party Istanbul MP, İsmet Yılmaz, former Minister of National Education, and relatives of the family attended the funeral prayer.
President Erdoğan shouldered Coşan's coffin after the prayer.
Coşan's body was buried in Eyüpsultan Cemetery after the funeral prayer.
