Animal shelters all across the GTHA and Niagara areas say they have a lot more animals than normal that are looking for a home, and there could be a couple of reasons why the capacity has increased.

The Humane Society of Greater Niagara (HSGN) says they’ll have no problem finding a home for the puppies, but many other animals in their care won’t be as lucky.

Some animals have been at the humane society for over a year and they say right now is the busiest they’ve ever seen it.
