Hamas said on Saturday its members in Gaza were ready to confront Israeli attacks with "full force" after the Israeli military increased its air and ground attacks on the Palestinian enclave. Meanwhile, Israel's UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan rejected a resolution passed by the General Assembly on Friday which called for an immediate humanitarian truce between the warring sides. The resolution drafted by Arab states passed with 121 votes in favor, while 44 abstained. Fourteen, including Israel and the US, voted no.
