Queen Mary succeeded to the Danish throne with her husband in Copenhagen on Sunday (local time).
Hobart locals have offered their congratulations to the new monarch, with one Tasmanian labelling it a “proud moment” for the state.
Another local reminisced on going to the same school as Mary Donaldson, regarding her as “very personable and outgoing”.
