Alec Baldwin has been indicted on an involuntary manslaughter charge after the death of a producer on the set of Rust.
Baldwin, the lead actor and a co-producer on the Western movie, was pointing a gun at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during a rehearsal on a setfor the film outside Santa Fe in October 2021 when the gun went off, killing her and wounding director Joel Souza.
A Grand Jury indictment was filed in Santa Fe on Friday, months after prosecutors received a new analysis of the gun that was used.
Baldwin's lawyers indicated they will fight the charge saying "we look forward to our day in court".
