4. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Nermin Abu al-Tarabish, displaced from Al-Shifa hospital:
“The Israelis hit a missile in the corridor of Al-Shifa Hospital, at the entrance. People were torn to pieces. People were screaming and yelling. I said, 'I want to leave. I cannot bear it.' They cannot provide first aid to anyone at the hospital’s outpatient clinic, meaning at the entrance door. The situation was very difficult. No one could save anyone. Everyone was running and wanted to escape from the hospital without taking any of their belongings. I just wanted to survive with my children. Praise be to Allah, I am satisfied if our situation remains like this.”

6. Tilt up of family eating cucumber
7. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Nermin Abu al-Tarabish, displaced from Al-Shifa hospital:
“I saw people running away and the shooting was intense above us. People were running and there was shrapnel. Some were martyred, some were cut to pieces, some fell to the ground, some were screaming and making noises, and I was running while the people were running. It was a tragic day. I had never experienced anything like this day in my life. I could not bear it.”
8. Wide of Al-Tarabish with her children
9. Mid of Al-Tarabish’s daughter eating
10. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Anwar Abu al-Tarabish, displaced from Al-Shifa hospital:
“I was in Al-Shifa (Hospital). I was expecting it to be a safe place for us and other citizens, but it was not a safe place. We came to Nasser (Hospital) feeling afraid because it is an unsafe place, because things are very difficult. We hear the bombing here, but it is possible that they (Israeli) forced them (displaced families) to evacuate Al-Quds Hospital and bomb Al-Shifa hospital while there were people inside. People were martyred inside and they could do the same thing here. This place is not safe either. There is bombing everywhere, there is no mercy. These are mass massacres.”

12. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Nermin Abu al-Tarabish, displaced from Al-Shifa hospital:
“We are not afraid, what happened is over, and we ask god to relieve our distress, but we are afraid of what will come, after all this humiliation, that we will be deported to Rafah, to the Sinai desert. We are citizens and we are a helpless people. We have no fault in what is happening.”

STORYLINE:
Suffering continues to haunt families who were forced to flee more than once due to the heavy Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.
The Tarabish family, along with many others, fled from Al-Shifa Hospital to an UNRWA school after being subjected to continuous bombing.
“The Israelis hit a missile in the corridor of Al-Shifa Hospital, at the entrance. People were torn to pieces. People were screaming and yelling. I said, 'I want to leave. I cannot bear it'," said Nermin Abu al-Tarabish.
On the same night, there were airstrikes around the school and then they decided to leave. But the trip from one place to another was a risky one.
The Al-Tarabish family decided to leave the Al-Shifa Hospital and find shelter in the backyard of Nasser Hospital.
But Anwar Abu al-Tarabish said that there was no safe place in Gaza Strip.
The Al-Tarabish family now fears forced displacement to Egypt.
