Ontario’s Office of the Fire Marshal and Halton police are investigating a “suspicious” fire that destroyed five homes under construction in Burlington Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded around 4 a.m. to the blaze on Lodi Road near Walkers Line and Dundas Street.
Officers say the fire destroyed three unoccupied homes. Two other homes – including one that was occupied – were damaged.
Burlington Fire Chief Dan Vanderlelie says no one was injured.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
The blaze marks the third time in recent weeks that Burlington Fire has responded to calls in the area.
On Saturday, police were called to the same address on Lodi Road for a suspicious fire that caused minor damage.
Anyone with surveillance footage or information regarding Monday’s fire is asked to contact investigators at 905-825-4777 ext. 2316.
