Not 100% sure what this wood is, as I picked it up from the side of the road. Found some very nice figuring in the wood as I turned it though. This was a twice turned bowl and this is the second time on the lathe for this one. I had a bad catch as I turned it, which ripped it off the chuck. Thankfully it didn’t damage the bowl too much and I was able to finish it. I’ve added an inlay of Lapus Lazuli into the rim of the bowl for some added sparkle. Let me know what you think about this piece.
