The final election results have come through in state elections in India. The Zoram People's Movement is set to form the government for Mizoram, after it defeated the incumbent Mizo National Front, a regional ally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP has won three out of four key states in the regional polls. The victory puts Mr Modi in a strong position, ahead of the national elections next year, where he will be seeking a third term.
